As you know from my last post, I had the opportunity to partner with Tiffany & Co. Nashville  at The Mall at Green Hills for their first ever in-store style event.  Fun + Fashion at T&Co. for an evening of fun, fashion & of course fine jewelry.  A group of Nashville Bloggers & Fashion Stylist were invited to show their style perspective based off of the 2015 Power of Style Trends with Elle Magazine & Tiffany & Company.

Each blogger selected a Style Solution based off of the Spring 2015 Style Trends; Bohemian Romance, Natural Explorer & Modern Graphic. These looks were based off of style, beauty & jewelry runway.   My selection was Modern Graphic which I was so excited to share my style perspective as it relates to my target client but also the current professional woman that loves to indulge in a luxury piece of Tiffany jewelry.  Every woman would love to indulge in a little T&Co. luxury...classic yet modern!

I chose a window pane style look because its extremely popular right now and is easy to transition from day to evening simply by adding a smoky eye or bold lip color for an evening look.  Very modern + graphic but still city chic in black & white.

I created the above 2 inspiration boards to share with my model Chelsea & also Tara of Capella's Salon + Spa in Mt. Juliet for hair & makeup of my style vision for the day.  I wanted my Modern Graphics style to show the young - middle age professional woman that loves a classic look for the office that could transition to happy hour or a girls night out +  also loves to indulge in jewelry & other fun Tiffany accessories.

All attendees of the event indulged in savory tiffany blue treats +  champagne...of course!

Feel free to search the Instagram hashtag #TCoNashvilleStyle for more images from the evening.

I am in love with the Tiffany blue leather tote + sunnies.  They were perfect for the look!

Looks:  Bohemian Romance, Natural Explorer & Modern Graphics.

Models:  the overall event was a style competition and although we did not win the competition, I am confident that I represented the Tiffany brand & also shared style options for my target client.

In love with this Tiffany T-Bar Cuff bracelet....You must check this piece out in person!

Chelsea & I both ended the evening celebrating with a little T&Co. love!!

Summer Style Trend | Pom Pom Sandals | DIY

I am currently slightly obsessed with this Summer's fashion trend of pom poms & tassels.  You see them all over the style blogs and Instagram.  Aren't they just so much fun!  These fun pom heels were inspired by the Aquazzura designs but I created them for a fraction of the price.  Lets face it, this is definitely a fashion trend that I don't think will be around for a while, so why not save your coins and DIY your own.  What I love about DIY projects is that you truly can make it your own.

Follow the instructions below & you can create your own fun & festive pom pom heels for this Summer & even into early Fall.

Step 1:  Shop for the Supplies to complete project:

E6000 Adhesive - Purchased from Hobby Lobby or any craft store - this is an option that will take more time because the glue has to become tacky before the poms will stay in place.

Hot Glue Gun in my opinion is the easiest! Using a glue gun made this project so simple & fast.  I literally completed my first pair in about 30 minutes.

Assorted bags of Pom Pom - Michaels & Hobby Lobby

Selecting my color combinations were the hardest part because the possibilities are endless.

Leather braided cord - Joann Fabric - this will replace the ankle buckle straps to create a fun lace up style.

White ankle tie PomPom Heels - Shoes from Target

I hit the jackpot with finding my white sandals because they were on clearance at Target for $11.48.  You want to make sure if you recreate this look that you find the sandals with the removable ankle strap so that you can replace it with another ankle tie.

After you've decided on your color combinations with your pom poms its time to start placing them on the shoe.  For me it was easier to start in the center of the shoe and work my way to each side.

White Pom Pom Heels are perfect for summer styles & so much fun!  Add additional tassels if desired.

I loved my white heels so much, I had to create a Black ankle tie Pom Pom Heels with Tassel. These are super sexy and will look amazing with skinny jeans and dresses.

Black suede braided strap replaced the leather shoe ankle strap

Michaels Craft Store & it was on clearance!

Voila!  Super sexy summer heel that can take you into early Fall for special events!

Super easy DIY and very on trend for the Summer. In total with shoes and supplies it was a $22.00 investment.  The black pom pom heels were about $16 total because I scored the shoes on clearance also!  Do you love to DIY?  What are some things you've created this summer?  Share in the comments below!

Personal Style | Three Must Have Spring Styles for Women

Cold Shoulder Blouse & Dresses - Shoulder baring style pieces are in just about every store this Spring.  In my professional opinion its not a style that everyone can pull off however if you can, they look good!

Jumpers & Rompers - One of my personal favorites simply for the versatility. Rompers can be rocked with heels and even sneakers for a casual weekend style.

Lightweight Utility Jacket- I love the military inspiration with these jackets and they are simple to dress up or down to create a variety of looks.

Special Event Styling | Are you Kentucky Derby + Steeplechase Nashville Ready?

As a southern girl...aka Kentucky native I am very much aware of the importance of the Kentucky Derby and now a Nashville resident Iroquois Steeplechase.  Lets face it the premise is the horse race but to everyone else it is also about the fashion, hats, mint juleps & the bloody mary.  I have watched "Derby" grow over the years with the celebrity events and parties but it always comes full circle with the hats/fascinators.

As a Stylist I love the southern fashions of Derby & Steeplechase but I would always advise Clients to stay simple on the attire if you are going bold with your hat or fascinator.  By simple I mean a classic sheath dress or monochromatic looks in order to allow your hat to be a statement piece.

Sharing a few of my favorite hat styles, comment below to let me know your favorite.  Also be sure to check out  the collections of Arturo Rios...they are amazing.  Are you attending the Kentucky Derby or Steeplechase in Nashville?  If so share the look you are going for this year!
